I’ve been conversing on and off with Siri since she first appeared in our house, trapped between two sheets of Gorilla Glass.
Some things of note so far…
She makes me irrationally hate Google
– It’s a surprise & disappointment if she can’t answer quickly & drops back to “search the web” mode
She makes me hate unlocking the screen
– being able to put the phone to my ear and just do things makes me annoyed when I have to unlock to do more complex tasks.
She needs to work while I’m doing something else.
– the lag between speech & response is high – it’s a long way from Australia to Maiden NC – enough to make me want to multitask while waiting for her
