I’ve been conversing on and off with Siri since she first appeared in our house, trapped between two sheets of Gorilla Glass.<\/p>\n

Some things of note so far…<\/p>\n

She makes me irrationally hate Google
\n– It’s a surprise & disappointment if she can’t answer quickly & drops back to “search the web” mode<\/p>\n

She makes me hate unlocking the screen
\n– being able to put the phone to my ear and just do things makes me annoyed when I have to unlock to do more complex tasks.<\/p>\n

She needs to work while I’m doing something else.
\n– the lag between speech & response is high – it’s a long way from Australia to Maiden NC<\/a> – enough to make me want to multitask while waiting for her<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
