Every year except one*<\/a>, my wife and I have gotten away to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are blessed to be friends with lots of really lovely people (hopefully including you, dear reader) and in 2009, we travelled to visit some of them in the United States of America. A wonderful friend traveled across state boundaries to visit with us in North Carolina, and recommended a superb barbecue & bluegrass joint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He suggested we might like Nickel Creek, and funnily enough our hosts in South Carolina made the same recommendation a week later. Every time I hear the opening strings on their self-titled album<\/a> I’m transported back there and reminded how kind God’s been to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
